Dedicated Cheque and Plastic Crime Unit (DCPCU) (www.dcpcu.org.uk)
The DCPCU is a squad of specialist police officers and civilian staff set up in April 2002 to tackle the organised gangs responsible for much of the UK's card and cheque fraud. It is sponsored by APACS on behalf of the banking industry.
The original focus of the Unit was to tackle plastic card counterfeiting. Whilst this remains one of its key areas of focus, the Unit now responds to a greater variety of types of fraud including:
      * Cash machine fraud
      * Mail non-receipt fraud
      * Identity fraud
      * Card-not-present fraud (fraud on telephone, Internet, fax and mail order transactions)
      * Cheque fraud

Fraud Intelligence Bureau (FIB) (Do not have an official website)
The UK banking industry's rapid response group that shares advice and intelligence with the police to combat payment fraud.
The FIB has helped destroy several major counterfeiting rings run by organised criminals.
The FIB is progressively being seen as a point of contact for the banking industry on all types of card fraud-related issues, not just those relating to skimming.

ABI is the Italian Banking Association. It is a voluntary non-profit organization. Its purpose is to represent, defend and promote the interests of its member banks and financial intermediaries.

Bankalararasi Kart Merkezi (BKM) (www.bkm.com.tr)
The Interbank Card Center (BKM) was established in 1990 with the partnership of 13 public and private Turkish banks for the purpose of providing solutions to the common problems and developing the rules and standards of credit and debit cards in Turkey, within the card payment system.
